Directors of 3D SiteWorx Lloyd Ritchie and Dylan Harding are typical of many small businesses across Australia that have experienced substantial growth and evolution since their doors opened. From initially offering wiring solutions for machine control systems, today the company has over 350 pieces of rental equipment in the GPS and UTS side of things, while offering Wet Hire services with their six Cat Machines.

Lloyd and Dylan recognised some time ago the need for a maintenance program for their Cat machines to ensure they receive the right level of maintenance and servicing, allowing them to focus on their core business.

Dylan shared, “Operating across vast locations in Australia, including Mount Isa, Adelaide, Victoria and Darwin, our machines are regularly found on key projects such as Burra Wind Farm and Hornsdale Transmission Lines. The beauty of our Maintenance Support Program with Cavpower is that they know exactly where our machines are at all times, they’re inducted, and it also includes fixed price travel. We have locked that in for two years for some major jobs that our Wet Hire machines are going to. Another bonus is we have locked in fixed parts pricing for PM servicing for the same time frame. So, we know what we are getting and how much the parts will cost us, making it easy for us to forecast all major costs.”

Communication in any relationship is vital, and something that stood out in conversation with Dylan and Lloyd about their experience with Cavpower’s Maintenance Support Program was the single local point of contact with their dedicated Product Support Representative “Daniel Bickley”. This relationship offers them the ability to point anything they aren’t sure about in his direction.

“The reason we have been able to get onto these Tier 1 jobs has been just talking with Daniel and finding out exactly what we needed, thanks to having clear and fast lines of communication,” said Llyod.

Daniels’s role as a Product Support Representative involves looking after his customers’ parts and service needs in the Southern region of Adelaide. Chatting with Daniel, he shared, “The Maintenance Support Program assists customers where they don’t have an asset management strategy in place. It allows us to sit down with them and work out what best suits their needs so they can focus on their main business operations.”

Daniel continues, “As product support reps, we assist our customers with any undercarriage and GET inspections. This way, we can work out what best suits our customers with the sites they work on and also assist with forecasting any major costs with the undercarriage.”

Another great feature of the Maintenance Support Program is its flexibility and versatility to grow with 3D SiteWorx allowing them to add new machines to the program as and when they are purchased.

Cavpower’s state-of-the-art facilities in Adelaide, combined with high level of service and support to a range of customers, from small owner-operators to large earthmoving companies with massive fleets of Cat Machines, shows just how much they have evolved and invested in customers’ success.
