Whether full time or school based there is an apprenticeship pathway for you. Cavpower’s Apprenticeships opportunities were created to empower you to achieve a rewarding career as a Diesel Mechanic or Auto Electrician, working on the world’s leading mining, construction, earthmoving, marine, engine, on-highway trucks and power systems equipment manufactured by Caterpillar.
Here’s an example of an apprentice pathway:
- Step 1 – Work Experience: Preferred candidates complete a minimum of one week work experience at Cavpower in years 10 and 11, and one week in year 12
- Step 2 – Completion of Secondary Education: Minimum year 12
- Step 3 – Nominate for apprenticeships: Participate in practical assessment process
- Step 4 – Apprenticeship intake: Interview, police clearance, medical and functional assessment
After completion of your four year Cavpower apprenticeship, we will work with you to develop a long term career plan. Remember, at Cavpower, it’s not just a job, it’s a career, and no matter what your goal is, with dedication and hard work, we can help you achieve it.
The first eight weeks of your time with us is spent with our Apprentice Supervisor in Apprentice Basic Training.
Cavpower provides all apprentices with a subsidised tool kit, all necessary uniforms and personal protective equipment. A discount on additional tooling and merchandise is also available.
