INTRODUCING OUR NEW CATERPILLAR 375ton TRACK PRESS
Cavpower have recently invested in a Caterpillar 375 ton track press and installed it into our Enfield service department workshop. The press is the latest model available on the market and comes with a number of safety and time saving features. This includes pressure limited operation for the safe alignment of tooling when pressing the joints apart or together. The press also has a remote controlled winch allowing for the tracks to be pull up onto the press bed by one person. Another great feature is that once the track plates are unbolted from the links, they can be lifted up above the link by two hydraulically operated rails thus allowing the link to then be pulled through to the press. The link can then be dismantled and repaired as required and then the plates are lowered back down onto the link and re-bolted into position. This feature saves time and avoids manual handling of the track plates. The new press can take D6 to D11 size dozer tracks and many other tracks in the Caterpillar range.
